Asian stocks gained on Thursday after the Federal Reserve pledged to keep monetary policy and rates unchanged and projected a rapid jump in US economic growth this year as the COVID-19 crisis eases. Japan's Nikkei225 index added 1.77 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index climbed 1.4 per cent while Korea's Kospi advanced 1.2 per cent.
