There is now more flexibility when booking train tickets using the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) app and website of Indian Railways. Through UTS, travellers can purchase tickets for non-suburban travel (more than 200 km) up to three days in advance (not including the travel date). As of April 12, 2024, South Eastern Railways stated on their website, "Suburban tickets up to 200 km will be issued only the day of the journey." UTS app new benefits
