People in the pharma industry say the lockdown of Shanghai which has been announced this week has prompted further fears of disruption in the pharmaceutical supply chain. India, the world's third largest drug producer by volume, imports 70% of its requirement of raw materials or intermediates from China. Raw materials from China are used in making major antibiotics, paracetamol, diabetes and cardiovascular drugs.from Industry-Economic Times
